In its latest form, the S-class still epitomises luxury and oozes class. It's exterior shape remains long and elegant, and not quite as extroverted as some rivals. The interior, however, is not the understated, classical space it previously was, with a far more overt show of tech, some of which doesn't quite gel with the traditional S-class appeal. Several buttons have been sacrificed in favour of one large, high-res central touchscreen and multicolour animated LED ambient lighting strips surround the cabin. The new tech, however, works slickly and intuitively. Space and comfort, as ever, are top notch, with the LWB rear seat allowing you to stretch out like it's Business Class. Both straight-six engines offer great refinement, and ride comfort is supremely good on the air suspension new 19-inch alloy wheels. However, even with local assembly in India, its price is on the higher side.
