The Tata Tigor stands out for its unique fastback-like profile. It’s neatly done on the inside as well. The cabin is smartly thought out and elements like the knitted roof lining and textured finish on the dashboard add a touch of class. There’s enough space for four adults to sit in comfort and rear headroom is more generous than the Tigor’s coupé-like roofline would suggest. Even the 419-litre boot can hold quite a bit of luggage.
The Tigor’s 85hp, 1.2-litre petrol engine is smooth and able but does get loud when revved. The manual gearbox is nice enough while the AMT takes away some stress from urban commutes. It’s just that the AMT’s shifts are jerky at low speeds. Irrespective of which version of the Tigor you drive, you are sure to like the Tigor’s light steering, good stability and ability to deal with bumps and lumps.
