MRF's chairman and managing director KM Mammen has been honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Automotive Tyre Manufacturers' Association (ATMA). The award was presented by Maruti Suzuki India's managing director and CEO, Hisachi Takeuchi, at ATMA's Annual Conclave 2023 in New Delhi on Wednesday.   

Mammen was awarded the Lifetime Achievement honour for his exceptional leadership qualities, his contribution to the Indian tyre industry and for being at the forefront for over 20 years, ATMA said.

Mammen, who once held the post of chairman at ATMA, has led MRF through many landmark achievements that made the company cross the milestone of over Rs 19,000 crore turnover, and in its ranking of being one of the top tyre companies in the world. 

“I am grateful to be a part of this industry and I believe this is a recognition of the great effort we all have put into making India a global hub for the tyre industry,” Mammen said about the recognition. "Over the years, our industry has evolved and now we have the capability to manufacture the best quality tyres and compete in the world market."
