Aston Martin’s latest F1 car, the AMR24, has made its debut alongside the facelifted Vantage road car and Vantage GT3 racer. The team made some impressive gains in 2023, and Aston Martin is calling its new challenger a “strong evolution” of last year’s car.
Like most of the grid this year, the team will continue with an unchanged driver line-up, with Fernando Alonso staying alongside Lance Stroll.

Aston Martin AMR24: what’s new
Aston Martin started off strong last year, with Fernando Alonso making regular appearances on the podium. However, the team was unable to match rivals when it came to development and a few of its updates missed the mark, resulting in fifth place in the championship standing.
While the AMR24 is an evolution of its predecessor, some key changes have been made. “Almost every area of the car has been refined and improved, building on our strengths and taking on board the lessons of the previous campaign. 2023 was our best season to date and our goal this season is to score regular points, podiums and fight for our first win in green,” said team principal Mike Krack.
The front wing and sidepod designs have been revised to improve airflow management. While teams like Red Bull, McLaren – and now Stake and RB – have opted for a pull-rod front suspension layout, Aston Martin is sticking to the push-rod layout for the front and rear. The switch to a rear push-rod suspension is largely down to the team using Mercedes customer parts this year.
"Work has been done on both ends of the car on the suspension. The front will work more efficiently alongside the front wing, and aero work has been done at the rear to optimise our layout in that area,” explained technical director Dan Fallows.
