The recently launched Kia Syros is the brand's second offering in the sub-4 meter SUV segment. It is positioned in between the Sonet and Seltos, and it shares its powertrains with both these SUVs as well. Despite its sub-four-meter length, Kia aims to position the Syros above the Sonet by offering enhanced cabin space and features that are absent in even the larger Seltos. Ventilated rear seats

Kia claims to offer improved rear seat space in the Syros, further accentuated by a ventilation function for the seat squab. This is not only a segment-first feature, but is even absent in larger midsize SUVs.

Slide and recline adjustable back seats

Sliding seats for rear passengers is another feature that the Seltos doesn't get. Additionally, Syros gets Hyundai Venue-like reclining seats for added comfort. When reclined, the boot space is inevitably reduced.

    Bigger displays

Kia has equipped the Syros with two 12.3-inch displays – driver's display and touchscreen infotainment – compared to the 10.2-inch displays in the Seltos. However, the next generation of the Seltos is expected to feature an identical pair of 12.3-inch displays at its launch.

    Flush-type door handles

The Syros marks Kia India's first ICE vehicle to replace traditional pull-door handles with flush-type ones, a feature previously seen on the EV6 and EV9. It also helps with aerodynamic efficiency besides a sleeker side look.
