BMW Motorrad has unveiled the 2025 updates for its mid-range motorcycles, the BMW F 900 R and BMW F 900 XR. The two models now boast significant technical and visual upgrades, along with a more extensive range of standard features.
- Both motorcycles are now 3kg lighter

BMW F 900 R. F 900 XR details
Both models feature the same 895cc two-cylinder in-line engine, which now produces 105hp and complies with the latest Euro 5+ emission standards. BMW has also updated the electronics and added new features, such as dynamic traction control, engine drag control, ABS Pro, dynamic brake control, and dynamic riding mode.

The F 900 R roadster features ergonomic changes, including repositioned handlebars and footrests, creating a more aggressive riding position. BMW has also updated the design with a redesigned rear end with integrated turn indicator lights. Both motorcycles now get lighter wheels, which are now 1.8kg lighter, and a new battery that's 0.8kg lighter. They also feature new adjustable suspensions that can be adjusted for rebound, compression, and preload. The F 900 R is available in Snapper Rocks Blue metallic, Blackstorm metallic, and a Sport variant in Lightwhite with Racingblue metallic.
The F 900 XR introduces improvements to its aerodynamics. New additions include a redesigned windscreen and hand protectors. You also get heated grips and an updated headlight equipped with adaptive lighting. Like its roadster sibling, the XR benefits from lighter wheels, a lighter battery, and a fully adjustable suspension. It’s offered in Racing Red, Blackstorm metallic, and a Sport variant in Lightwhite with Racing Blue metallic. While the outgoing model is available for Rs 12.55 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), it remains to be seen when BMW will bring the updated F 900 XR to India.Also see: Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R prices slashed by Rs 1.14 lakh
