Hero MotoCorp has officially launched its operations in the Philippines, making it the 48th country where Hero two-wheelers are sold.

  1. 2 year/24,000km warranty standard
  2. Overseas plant has a capacity of 1.5 lakh units annually

Terrafirma Motors Corporation (TMC), part of the Columbian Group of Companies, will be the exclusive assembler and distributor of Hero MotoCorp products and services in the Philippines. This partnership, announced in October 2022, finally brings Hero's products to the Southeast Asian market.

Niranjan Gupta, CEO of Hero MotoCorp, expressed enthusiasm about this expansion. "The commencement of operations in the Philippines will bolster our overall global presence. Partnering with Terrafirma Motors Corporation (TMC), a distinguished entity within the Columbian Group, we are poised to swiftly establish and expand our presence in this vital market."

Bienvenido Sanvictores Santos, chairman of Terrafirma Motors Corporation, echoed this sentiment. "We are delighted to partner with Hero MotoCorp, one of the leading automotive companies in the world. We are confident that customers in the Philippines will love these motorcycles and scooters."

A state-of-the-art assembly unit and parts warehouse have been established at Terrafirma Motors Corporation in Laguna, Philippines. This facility, spanning over 6,000 square meters, boasts an annual capacity of over 1.5 lakh units. The new assembly plant will produce some of Hero MotoCorp’s popular models, including the Xpulse 200 4V, Hunk 160R 4V (export model similar to the Xtreme 160R 4V we get here in India), and the Xoom scooter. Every Hero two-wheeler comes with a warranty of 2 years or 24,000 kilometers, ensuring peace of mind for customers.

To support its operations, Hero MotoCorp and TMC have developed a comprehensive retail network comprising over 350 customer touchpoints for sales, service and spares. Plans are in place to rapidly expand this network by the end of the year, ensuring widespread availability and support for Hero products across the Philippines.

Hero MotoCorp's expansion into the Philippines is part of its broader strategy to increase its international presence. The company is currently active in 48 countries, with tech centres in India and Germany, and manufacturing facilities in India, Colombia and Bangladesh.
