Ever since KTM refreshed its Duke line-up last year, it was a given that these updates would trickle down to other models in due course. We have seen spy shots of a next-gen KTM 390 Adventure and more recently, a 390 Enduro has also been spotted testing.

    1. Same 399cc LC4C motor found in the new 390 Duke
    2. Suspension is adjustable; spoked rims mean tubed tyres
    3. Should be more affordable than next-gen 390 Adventure

KTM 390 Enduro: what can be seen?

From the spy shots, we can see that the KTM 390 Enduro has a typical KTM dualsport design language, with sharp, minimalist bodywork and a tall, beaky front fender. The only road-biased element is the underbelly exhaust.

While we cannot see what display this bike is using, it is clear that it’s a small unit and will be different from the TFT display found on the new 390 Duke. Given that this is a simple machine, a smaller display may be found here.

The similarity between the KTM 390 Duke and 390 Enduro extends to the engine and main frame, outside of which nearly everything is different. The 390 Enduro seems to be suspended on taller suspension units with some adjustability. It runs on wire-spoked wheels, so it will get tubed tyres.

The braking hardware is another area that's different with this Enduro model using an axially mounted front caliper compared to the Duke’s radial caliper. The swingarm on the Enduro seems to be an alloy unit, with a curved ‘banana’ shape, similar to what we have seen on the next-gen 390 Adventure.

While most of the bodywork is certainly not similar to the 390 Duke, the shape of the fuel tank and a slightly tall fuel-filler area giveaway that this could be the same 15-litre unit as the Duke.

Since this bike has a saree guard, it is near certain that it will be launched in India at some point. Whether it will launch alongside the next-gen 390 ADV, (which is rumored to go on sale in India soon), or at a later date is presently unknown.

Given that it appears to be a simpler machine than the 390 Adventure, we expect the price to be somewhere between that and the 390 Duke (Rs 3.12 lakh). That is, of course, given that this bike is running the 399cc engine and not the new-gen 250cc motor that is visually indistinguishable.
