The festive season is just around the corner, which means plenty of new launches and tempting discounts will start pouring in. TVS got the ball rolling by launching the Raider’s new base variant on September 23, and now, it has cut the Ronin’s price by Rs 15,000.

    1. Ronin line-up now starts at Rs 15,000 below the RE Hunter 350
    2. TVS has made no changes to Ronin’s mechanical components

    TVS Ronin price-cut details

The TVS Ronin is available in four variants: SS, DS, TD and TD Special Edition. The price has dropped only for the base SS variant, which now costs Rs 1.35 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The price cut makes the Ronin SS a lot more appealing, especially considering that the next variant in the line-up, the DS, is priced at Rs 1.57 lakh.

Competition to the TVS Ronin comes squarely from the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 (Rs 1.50 lakh-1.75 lakh, ex-showroom, Chennai), a runaway success. With this price revision, TVS will surely hope to lure some prospective Hunter 350 buyers to its showrooms.

To refresh your memory, the TVS Ronin is powered by an air/oil-cooled, 225.9cc, single-cylinder motor that makes 20.4hp at 7,750rpm and 19.93Nm of torque at 3,750rpm. Mated to this motor is a 5-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch. With its 14-litre tank brimmed, the Ronin weighs 160kg. Even the base SS variant comes with features such as a fully digital display, all-LED lighting, adjustable brake and clutch levers and a USD fork.
