Kawasaki India has released a teaser on its social media handle that it will be showcasing a new motorcycle on December 8, at India Bike Week. The teaser image shows a motorcycle that’s fully covered with just the front alloy wheel partially visible. We can now exclusively report that this bike will be the updated version of Kawasaki’s most affordable model, the W175.

    1. Likely to stay mechanically the same
    2. Select models get a discount for December

Updates to the W175 are likely to be restricted only to the cosmetic side of things, such as new colours and rim stripes. The only mechanical difference of note is the inclusion of tubeless tyres noticeable due to the presence of alloy wheels.

The W175 is currently priced between Rs 1.47 lakh-1.49 lakh and Kawasaki is unlikely to take it much higher, given that sales have been a bit of a struggle for the company’s first locally manufactured product.
