Toyota Kirloskar Motors has introduced their new T-Serv service partnership in Bengaluru. The pilot project will see Toyota partner with multi-brand workshops.

  • Workshop technicians will be trained to Toyota’s standards, as part of this initiative

  • Toyota-certified workshop staff and genuine spares are steps towards providing quality services

  • Toyota recently launched the updated Fortuner, Fortuner Legender in India

Toyota T-Serv: the reason behind it

The Toyota T-Serv partnership is aimed directly at customers that have transitioned to visiting multi-brand workshops instead of authorised service centres, whether due to long-term ownership or ownership changes. Toyota India has found that long-term owners tend to shift to independently owned (third-party) workshops over time, as do owners of pre-owned vehicles.

Given this, the brand, in-line with their ‘Customer for Life’ philosophy, has decided to tie up with independently owned multi-brand workshops to provide such customers with services up to Toyota standards.

Services include everything, from periodic maintenance and general repair jobs to body and paint repairs.

Toyota T-Serv: what are its benefits?

As part of the tie-up, Toyota will be training workshop staff and supplying genuine parts in order to ensure quality workmanship. A T-Serv smartphone app is designed to add a layer of convenience to the experience for customers and workshop owners, enabling the latter to track operations and stay in touch with customers.

Toyota T-Serv: roll-out plan for India

The T-Serv brand has been established exclusively in India and in the initial phase of the pilot project, Toyota has partnered with five independently owned workshops in Bengaluru.

In addition to the aforementioned services, the brand will also be offering exclusive DIY accessories and car care products at partner service centres.
