Kia has finally revealed the interior and key specs of its all-electric EV4, having previewed the exterior design a few days ago. While the EV4 gets both hatchback and sedan body styles, the latter promises up to 630km of maximum range on the WLTP cycle.

    1. Kia EV4 hatchback and sedan get 58.3kWh and 81.3kWh battery options
    2. Hatchback version has a maximum range of 590km
    3. EV4 sales to start from Korea in March, followed by other markets

The EV4 sedan will rival the Tesla Model 3 overseas, and its hatchback equivalent competes with the Volkswagen ID 3 and Volvo EX40.

The 2025 EV4’s 58.3kWh and 81.4kWh battery packs are identical in size to those offered with the Kia EV3. Interestingly, the sedan version has a higher single-charge range of 630 kilometres than the hatchback’s 590-kilometre range. All other specifications, including the AC and DC fast charging times, front motor horsepower, top speed and 0-100kph acceleration figures, are the same for both models (see table below).

Inside, the EV4 houses a 30-inch panoramic display panel with three screens, something that we have seen on the recently launched Kia Syros in India. Two 12.3-inch screens for instrumentation and infotainment and a 5.3-inch HVAC control display complete the display panel. Other features include ambient lights, an eight-speaker Harman Kardon sound system (optional), OTA software updates, and Netflix and YouTube entertainment apps’ integration.

The electric sedan stretches the tape to 4,730mm in length, which, for reference, is Mercedes C-Class territory. As previously reported, the design of the production version sedan doesn’t differ much from the 2023 EV4 concept. Changes to the exterior comprise a new grille with radar, freshly-designed 19-inch alloy wheels, thicker wing mirrors and flush-type door handles. Further, the EV4 GT Line gets sportier triangular-motif alloy wheels and wing-shaped front and rear bumpers.

As for the EV4 hatchback, its 4,430mm length is slightly shorter than the 4,695mm-EV6 SUV. In addition to the vertically stacked LED headlights and a sharp-looking front fascia, the four-door hatchback also gets bulky black cladding on the sides and a sunroof. But the major differences compared to the EV4 sedan appear towards the rear, which houses a big black spoiler and new tail-lights.

    Kia EV4 launch, price

While the international prices have not yet been disclosed, sales of the Kia EV4 will begin in March, with Korea being the first market, followed by others in 2025. If brought to India, it will sit under the Kia EV6 facelift, bookings for which are currently underway.
