    The Mahindra XUV700 has crossed the two lakh production milestone in less than three years, since its launch in August 2021. To celebrate the milestone, Mahindra has introduced two new colour options for the SUV: Deep Forest and Burnt Sienna.

    The XUV700 had reached 1 lakh units in 21 months and the next 1 lakh in just 12 months. The two new paint schemes are offered across all variants in addition the existing single-tone colour options that include Dazzling Silver, Electric Blue, Everest White, Midnight Black, Red Rage and Napoli Black.

    Mahindra XUV700: powertrains, price 

    The XUV700 is equipped with a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine generating 200hp and a 2.2-litre diesel unit capable of up to 185hp. Both engines offer transmission choices of a 6-speed manual and an optional 6- speed torque converter automatic. The diesel model is available with all-wheel drive, while the petrol model is front-wheel drive only.

    The XUV700 is priced between Rs 13.99 lakh and Rs 26.99 lakh, competing with the Tata Harrier, Safari, MG Hector, Hector Plus, Hyundai Alcazar and Jeep Compass. Mahindra is also developing the fully-electric XUV.e8, expected to be launched by year-end.
