Aston Martin has revived the iconic Vanquish nameplate with a brand-new grand tourer that replaces the DBS in its line-up. The Vanquish retains a V12, and is positioned as the flagship offering in Aston Martin’s line-up.

New Aston Martin Vanquish powertrain, performance

Powering the Vanquish is a 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 that generates 835hp and a massive 1,000Nm of torque. Aston Martin claims the Vanquish can sprint from 0-100kph in just 3.3 seconds, before topping out at 345kph. The power is fed to the rear wheels through an 8-speed automatic gearbox with electronic shift-by-wire control system.

Stopping power comes from carbon ceramic brakes with 410mm front and 360mm rear discs. The 21-inch forged wheels are wrapped in bespoke Pirelli P Zero tyres.

It is worth noting that the previous two generations of the Vanquish were equipped with naturally aspirated V12 powertrains. Over the DBS that it replaces, the Vanquish puts out additional 110hp and 100Nm torque.

The headlamps and the grille draw inspiration from the DB12, while the bonnet features two large vents. The rear-end is completely new with vertically stacked LED tail-lights forming a unique pattern, separated by a darkened panel that houses the Aston Martin emblem. The quad exhausts further enhance its sportier appeal.

On the inside, the Vanquish features a new centre console housing the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also gets a similarly sized digital driver’s display, a 1,170-watt 15-speaker Bowers & Wilkins audio system, wireless phone charger, as well as ADAS suite.

New Aston Martin Vanquish price, India launch details

Pricing for the Aston Martin Vanquish is yet to be revealed, but we expect it to cost higher than the DBS it replaces. The company had recently revealed to us that the new Vanquish will be launched in India in the second quarter of 2025.
