The Renault Triber facelift has been spotted for the first time. Renault India MD and CEO Venkatram Mamillapalle confirmed a few months ago that the Kiger and Triber would receive facelifts later this year, and a Kiger facelift prototype was seen testing for the first time last month.

    2. Its interior is expected to receive new materials and features
    3. Engine options will most likely remain unchanged

Rear and side styling changes appear minor

A new spy shot of a heavily camouflaged Triber test mule primarily shows off the rear of the facelifted sub-4-metre MPV and a bit of its side profile. The overall silhouette and design, including the tail-lamps, boot lid and rear bumper, don’t seem to be a major departure from the current Triber.

Towards the side, the Triber’s distinctive upward crease and window line kink seem to have been retained. While the front is not visible in the spy shot, we expect the Triber facelift to sport sharper styling that better aligns it with global Renault models.

    Interior changes for Triber facelift

Inside, the Triber facelift’s dashboard is expected to receive mild design tweaks, lighter shades, more soft-touch materials and an expanded features list, much like the refreshed Nissan Magnite launched last year.

    No major mechanical changes anticipated

On the powertrain front, we expect the Triber facelift to carry on with the current model’s 1.0-litre naturally aspirated three-cylinder petrol unit that generates 72hp and 96Nm. Gearbox options will most likely be the same as well, comprising a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT.
