Tata Tiago Limited Edition: What’s new?
Visually, the only difference is the new 14-inch alloy wheels finished in black; the Tiago XT and XZ variants get 14-inch steel wheels with wheel covers, while the top-spec XZ+ trim gets larger 15-inch alloys.
As this limited edition model is based on the mid-spec XT variant, it gets all the same safety kit and features. However, Tata has added on-board navigation, voice commands for the 5.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a rear parcel tray to the XT’s list of dual front airbags, follow-me-home headlights, 4 speakers, power windows, keyless entry, power folding and adjust for the wing mirrors and steering mounted audio controls, among others.
Like the XT variant it is based on, the Tiago Limited Edition is only available in manual form – the 86hp, 1.2-litre petrol engine is paired to a 5-speed manual as standard. However, an AMT option is on offer in the higher XZA and XZA+ variants.
Tata Tiago: Competition check
The Hyundai Santro (Rs 4.68-6.00 lakh), Datsun Go (Rs 4.02-6.51 lakh), Maruti Suzuki Celerio (Rs 4.53-5.78 lakh) and the Wagon R (Rs 4.66-6.18 lakh) all contend in the same segment as the Tata Tiago (Rs 4.86-6.85 lakh).
