Up to Rs 4 lakh off on Mahindra’s Alturas, Marazzo, XUV500, XUV300 and more

It is typical of carmakers to offer big discounts at the end of the year in an attempt to push sales and reduce inventory. And Mahindra is no different, with dealers now offering benefits and discounts on most of the brand’s line-up. Here’s how much you could potentially save on your new Mahindra SUV, MPV, sedan or hatchback.

    Mahindra Alturas G4

Save up to Rs 4 lakh
Mahindra’s flagship SUV has plenty going for it, from its imposing road presence and well-finished, feature-rich cabin, to the overall refinement of its 181hp, 2.2-litre diesel engine. However, it does not have the most accommodating third row, and getting in and out of the large seven-seat SUV is not easiest either. In order to boost sales of the Ford Endeavour, Toyota Fortuner and Isuzu MU-X rival, Mahindra is offering Rs 4 lakh worth of benefits and discounts – including cash discounts, exchange benefits and a corporate discount – all through December.

    Mahindra Marazzo

Save up to Rs 1.75 lakh
Positioned between two very popular MPVs – the Maruti Ertiga and the Toyota Innova Crysta – the Mahindra Marazzo is a practical and easy-to-use vehicle. There’s enough room for two in the rearmost row and access is decent too. For standard use, the 123hp, 1.5-litre diesel engine feels refined and performance in town is respectable, but the MPV does feel like it could do with a bit more power when it’s loaded with passengers. While top versions are on the expensive side, the Rs 1.75 lakh worth of benefits on the top-spec Marazzo M8 make it far more attractive.

    Mahindra Scorpio

    Save up to Rs 85,000
One of Mahindra’s biggest hits, the Scorpio feels decidedly tough and comes with a surprisingly smooth 2.2-litre diesel engine (in 120hp and 140hp states of tune, depending on the variant). There are ergonomic issues and cheap plastic bits on the inside but the cabin isn’t a bad place to be. However, third-row comfort is definitely sub-par. Dealers will offer up to Rs 85,000 worth of benefits on the Mahindra Scorpio this month.

    Mahindra XUV500

    Save up to Rs 85,000
A new-gen XUV500 is in the works and will only arrive in the middle of next year. Until then, the current model will be on sale. Compared to the newer competition, the XUV500 seems to have aged and it suffers from inconsistent cabin quality and a cramped third row. However, the 7-seater's strong diesel engine (the same 2.2-litre diesel from the Scorpio in a higher 155hp state of tune) and road presence do somewhat make up for the negatives. All variants, except the entry-level Mahindra XUV500 W3, can be had with Rs 85,000 worth of benefits and discounts.

    Mahindra TUV300

    Save up to Rs 80,000
Mahindra’s ladder-frame-based compact SUV, the TUV300 is capable of seating seven, though the third row is best used for short drives. While ride quality is considered bouncy, its tough build and spacious cabin do make a case for the SUV. The 100hp, 1.5-litre diesel engine is good for the city but it doesn’t perform as well out on the highway. Discounts and benefits of up to Rs 80,000 can be availed on the TUV300. The extended version of the TUV300, the TUV 300 Plus – powered by a larger 120hp, 2.2-litre diesel engine – can be had with total benefits of up to Rs 65,000.

    Mahindra XUV300

    Save up to Rs 75,000
Mahindra’s first monocoque platform-based compact SUV, the XUV300 rivals the Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon and Ford EcoSport. A slightly more expensive option to its rivals, the Mahindra XUV300’s highlights are its well-equipped interior (it gets some segment-first kit), wide cabin area and the pleasant 117hp, 1.5-litre diesel engine that can be paired with either a 6-speed manual or AMT. There’s also a 110hp, 1.2-litre turbo-petrol on offer but that only gets a 6-speed manual. Buyers can avail up to Rs 75,000 in benefits on all variants of the XUV300 this month.

    Mahindra KUV100 NXT

    Save up to Rs 60,000
A cross-hatch that rivals the Maruti Suzuki Ignis, the Mahindra KUV100 NXT is on offer with benefits and discounts worth Rs 60,000. The fleet-only KUV100 NXT Trip gets a higher level of benefits – up to Rs 75,000. Its diesel engine – a 78hp, 1.2-litre unit – is pleasant and a far better option than the 83hp, 1.2-litre petrol mill (which suffers from mileage issues). A highlight of the KUV is that it has a practical cabin, and can be had as a 5- or 6-seater.

    Mahindra Bolero

    Save up to Rs 40,000
Mahindra’s workhorse is one of the bestselling utility vehicles in India, but it’s been around for a bit too long and feels seriously outdated and crude. Nonetheless, the Bolero, in all its forms, is a hardy SUV that comes with a torquey 2.5-litre diesel engine. Just recently, Mahindra confirmed that the Bolero Power Plus meets all the crash test norms that came into effect on October 1, 2019. It was also the first UV in India to get a BS6 certification for its 71hp, 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine. For now, dealers are offering Rs 40,000 in benefits on the entire Bolero range.
