Is the Maruti S-Presso safe?
While the Maruti S-Presso has not been rated by Global NCAP as yet, the car complies with India’s latest crash test standards. A driver side airbag, ABS, rear parking sensors, speed warning system and seatbelt reminder are part of the package. A passenger side airbag is standard fit on top-spec VXI+ versions and is available as a Rs 5,000 option on lower trim cars.
Is the Maruti S-Presso BS6-compliant?
Yes, the Maruti S-Presso complies with BS6 emission norms. In fact, the S-Presso is the first Maruti to feature the BS6 version of Suzuki’s K10 1.0-litre petrol engine. The engine will be rolled out on to the Celerio, Celerio X, Wagon R and Alto K10 by April 2020.
What is the Maruti S-Presso’s ground clearance?
Maruti S-Presso versions equipped with 13-inch wheels have an unladen ground clearance of 160mm. Higher-spec versions with larger 14-inch wheel have an unladen ground clearance of 180mm.
Is there a Maruti S-Presso automatic?
Yes, the Maruti S-Presso is available with the option of an AMT auto. Impressively, the AMT auto delivers the same 21.7kpl ARAI-tested fuel economy as the manual gearbox version.
