Mahindra records highest-ever sales of 54,504 units in October 2024

    Homegrown SUV maker is seeing rising demand thanks to popular models like the Thar Roxx and XUV 3XO, among others.

    Mahindra recorded its highest-ever monthly SUV sales of 54,504 units in October, up from 51,062 units in the previous month. The company’s year-to-date performance remains strong, with total SUV sales reaching 3,14,714 units, representing a 22 percent growth compared to the previous twelve months.

    Mahindra's performance was highlighted by strong demand across its SUV portfolio during the festive season. Some of its models, such as the Thar Roxx, have been doing exceptionally well. The demand for the Roxx crossed 1.76 lakh units within an hour of its bookings opening. Deliveries for the Thar Roxx have commenced in phases, and some buyers have a delivery timeline as late as May 2026. In addition to the domestic SUV sales, Mahindra’s export figures stood at 3,506 units, marking an 89 percent increase compared to the previous year.

    Another popular model from Mahindra, the XUV 3XO, saw average monthly sales in the range of 9,000-10,000 units. The waiting period for the Kia Sonet and Hyundai Venue rival is as high as six months for some variants.
