Mahindra Scorpio N, Classic waiting periods increase to 2 and a half months

    The Mahindra Scorpio N and Scorpio Classic continue to be among the carmaker’s most popular offerings in the Indian market, and the waiting periods for these SUVs can extend up to two and a half months.

    1. Scorpio N Z8 Select variants’ waiting period is up to two and a half months
    2. Other Scorpio N trims have waiting periods of up to one and a half month
    3. Scorpio Classic’s waiting period is up to one month for both trims

    Mahindra Scorpio N variant-wise waiting period

    Compared to the previous month, waiting periods for the Scorpio N range have increased by up to three weeks. The entry-level Z2 (Rs 13.99 lakh-14.89 lakh) trim has a waiting period of up to one and a half month for both petrol-manual and diesel-manual configurations; it’s the same for the Z4 (Rs 15.63 lakh-18.65 lakh) and Z6 (Rs 17.01 lakh-18.69 lakh). The Z8 (Rs 18.99 lakh-23.44 lakh) and Z8 L (Rs 20.69 lakh-24.89 lakh) variants, meanwhile, command a waiting period of just over a month, while the Z8 Select (Rs 17.34 lakh-19.34 lakh) trim has the longest waiting period at up to two and a half months.

    Mahindra Scorpio Classic variant-wise waiting period

    The waiting period details for the Scorpio Classic are quite straightforward, as it comes in only two trims – S and S11 – and both have a waiting period of up to one month. The S trim costs Rs 13.61 lakh for the 7-seat configuration and Rs 13.86 lakh for the 9-seat layout. The S11 only comes as a 7-seater, priced at Rs 17.34 lakh when equipped with captain seats and Rs 17.49 lakh with bench seats.

    Mahindra Scorpio N and Scorpio Classic powertrain details

    Both models utilise a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engine, albeit in different states of tune. In the Scorpio Classic, the unit produces 130hp and 300Nm of torque, whereas the Scorpio N outputs 175hp and up to 400Nm. The Scorpio Classic can only be had with a 6-speed manual gearbox, while the Scorpio N also offers a 6-speed torque converter. There is also the option of a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine on the Scorpio N; the unit develops 203hp and 370Nm and is paired with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter transmission. The Scorpio N can also be equipped with 4WD in its higher variants.
