    Team effort at Morocco Rally

Branch delivered some of his career-best performances this season, starting with a historic second-place finish at the 2024 Dakar Rally. Ultimately, it was his consistency that helped him seal the title. He followed up his Dakar podium with a P4 finish in the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge, which moved him to the top of the standings. He has held on to the lead ever since.

At the Morocco Rally, the final round of the championship, Ricky Brabec’s early exit meant Branch just needed to reach the finish line to take home the title. This became the primary goal for Hero MotoSports, and Branch’s teammate Jose ‘Nacho’ Cornejo opted to perform wingman duties. He rode alongside Branch throughout the week, ensuring he crossed the finish line safely.

Branch outscored Honda’s Adrien Van Beveren by 12 points to clinch the title. Honda did, however, win the manufacturer’s title. “No words can capture the magnitude of this incredible moment. I am thrilled to see the entire team’s hard work come together, and witnessing everyone’s happiness is a success in itself,” said Branch.

“As we look ahead into 2025, I see a bright future for our young team – this is just the beginning. This victory represents one of the biggest steps in the right direction for Hero, and I am really excited about the future. Thank you all for your unwavering support," he added.

    Buhler crashes out

The team’s third rider, Sebastian Buhler, retired after crashing in the dunes in Stage 2. Competitors Bradley Cox and Adrien Van Beveren rushed to his aid and he was airlifted to a nearby hospital for further assistance. The Portuguese rider reports that he’s “already feeling better” and will focus on recovery during the off-season.

With the 2024 World Rally-Raid Championship done and dusted, Hero MotoSports will now focus on preparing for the 2025 Dakar Rally, scheduled to be held from January 3-17.
