    Jeep Meridian price, features explained

Jeep recently introduced an update on the Meridian SUV, adding a new 5-seater base variant to the lineup along with some new features on the top-end trims. This has now brought down the Meridian’s starting price by over Rs 6 lakh, and it is now available in four trim levels: Longitude, Longitude Plus, Limited (O) and Overland. Here, we are taking a close look at what features are offered in each of the trims of the updated Meridian.

The new 5-seater configuration makes the Meridian a lot more accessible than before, but this seating layout is only available on the base Longitude trim. The three higher-spec trims, meanwhile, are only available as 7-seaters.

Under the hood, the Meridian continues to be powered by a 170hp, 350Nm, 2.0-litre diesel engine. A 9-speed torque converter automatic gearbox can be opted for across the range, but the top-spec Overland trim misses out on a manual gearbox. The 4x4 system is also limited to the Overland trim, while all other trims are only 4x2.

A quick look at Jeep Meridian’s web configurator gives us a split of the features available in each trim:
