Mahindra XUV700 Blaze Edition: what’s new?

A matte red paint finish on a car or an SUV has never been seen before on Indian roads, so this should give the XUV700 a very unique look. The red is contrasted with a blacked-out finish for the roof, wing mirrors, grille, alloy wheels and the A-, B- and C-pillars. There’s also Blaze Edition badges on the tailgate and front fenders.

On the inside, the XUV700 Blaze Edition gets an all-black interior with contrasting red stitching for the upholstery and red accents for the AC vents and centre console. The Blaze Edition is based on top-spec AX7 L trim, which means it comes fully-loaded with all the bells and whistles the XUV700 has to offer.

Mahindra XUV700 Blaze Edition: powertrain options

The Blaze Edition is being offered with three powertrain options, and only in seven-seat guise for now. In petrol form, the XUV700 Blaze Edition only gets the automatic gearbox option, while the diesel gets both, manual and the automatic options. The 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine produces 200hp and 380Nm, while the 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engine makes 185hp and 420Nm (450Nm with the AT). The Blaze Edition is not available on the diesel AWD variants.

In the midsize SUV segment, the Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun and Skoda Kushaq are some models that offer a matte paint finish.

Nice interiors why limit only to one exterior color and 2500 units. This year we already have Black edition and now Blaze edition, looks like proper facelift is around corners.
