The Kia Carnival is back in its latest generation after a small hiatus since the previous model was discontinued. It is even more spacious and luxurious than the earlier Carnival with a standard 7-seat layout and second-row semi-powered captain chairs with heating and ventilation function. It continues to be powered by a 193hp, 2.2-litre diesel engine mated to a 8-speed automatic gearbox as its only powertrain.

The 2024 Kia Carnival is the fourth generation model globally and improves on its predecessor in almost every way. It is slightly larger in all dimensions and features a more boxy, SUV-like design outside. There is much more tech, including twin 12.3-inch screens, ADAS with Level 2 autonomy, a heads-up display and much more. The highlight remains the vast second row which offers huge space and adjustability in its twin captains chairs. Third row and luggage space are ample as well. The 193hp 2.2-litre diesel feels relaxed but strong enough and is very efficient, though a bit noisy. Ride quality is great too. The Kia Carnival makes for a great long-distance family vehicle or even a luxurious chauffeur-driven car. However, its price of Rs 63.9 lakh ex-showroom is very steep.
