Hero’s X Pro adds fresh passion to its line-up. We ride the new Hero.
Hero MotoCorp’s Passion motorcycles have been a hit since production began in 2001, second only to the Splendor in terms of sales figures. Over the last decade, the Passion series has received a number of aesthetic upgrades. This time, Hero MotoCorp has added a new variant, powered by a 110cc engine. The X Pro is Hero MotoCorp’s bid in the 110cc segment, a space that is fast turning out to be a hotly contested.
The Passion X Pro doesn’t make a fresh style statement, and is easily recognisable as a commuter bike from its Hero family. It uses a smart headlight set within an angular bikini fairing, with a slightly sharper look as compared to predecessors. The Passion X Pro has smart, 18-inch alloy wheels, which come finished in black along with its engine, exhaust and chain guard.
The X Pro instruments bay tucks neatly beneath a dark green tinted visor, and houses an analogue speedometer, with digital displays for fuel levels, the odometer, trip meter and service due reminder, all of which are easy to read.
The X Pro offers good quality palm grips and switchgear that works with crisp feel, and includes a pass light.
