Maruti has launched the Vitara Brezza AMT in three variants, with the VDi AMT priced at Rs 8.54 lakh, going up to Rs 9.31 lakh for the ZDi AMT. The top-spec Vitara Brezza ZDi+ AMT, with dual-tone paint, costs Rs 10.49 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom, Delhi).
In addition to the AMT gearbox, Maruti has refreshed the 2018 Vitara Brezza, as reported by us a few days ago. It now gets all-black interiors, gloss black finish on alloy wheels and a new Autumn Orange exterior paint shade that replaces the Blue colour available earlier. Maruti has also updated the entire Vitara Brezza line-up with more safety features, and all variants get dual front airbags, reverse parking sensors, ABS and EBD, along with high-speed alert as standard.
The Vitara Brezza AMT comes with the same diesel engine as the standard model – the tried and tested 90hp, 1.3-litre diesel.
When it comes to rivals, the top trim Brezza ZDi AMT at Rs 10.49 lakh is slightly cheaper than its direct rival, the Tata Nexon AMT XZA+ diesel with a dual-tone roof that is priced Rs 10.59 lakh. What’s interesting is that Maruti has offered the automatic gearbox on all but the base LDi variant of the Brezza.
