In order to celebrate parent Tata Group’s 150th anniversary, Tata Motors has begun offering benefits and discounts across its range of passenger vehicles in India. The offer includes benefits of up to Rs 1 lakh, Rs 1 insurance and a special exchange bonus, and is valid until June 25.
While the benefits depend on the model and vary from city to city, dealers in New Delhi are offering benefits of up to Rs 93,000 on the Hexa, Rs 47,000 on the Tigor and Rs 12,000 on the Tiago.*
Tata’s current portfolio in India includes the Nano, Tiago and Bolt hatchbacks, the Tigor and Zest compact sedans, the Hexa, Safari and Sumo SUVs and the Nexon compact SUV. The brand has recently discontinued the iconic Indica and Indigo CS and introduced the AMT-equipped Nexon.
While Tata’s passenger vehicles business reportedly grew 22 percent in FY18 (compared to the 7 percent industry average), the brand has also put a halt to its Prima Truck racing championship and is concentrating on providing more electric options, with the Tigor EV being evaluated for a roll out and a hybrid version of the H5X under consideration.
