Discounts of up to Rs 1.1 lakh on BS6 Hyundai Elantra, Nios, i20 and more

With the end of the financial year close, Hyundai dealerships across the nation have been authorised to offer significant benefits and discounts on BS6 stock to push sales. Except for the Hyundai Venue compact SUV and the Aura compact sedan, Hyundai’s entire BS6 line-up is available on discount in March 2020. Here’s how much you could save on your new BS6 Hyundai car or SUV this month.

    Hyundai Elantra

Save up to Rs 1.1 lakh
Hyundai’s answer to the Honda Civic and Skoda Octavia got a mid-life update late last year, which brought with it a fresh design, more equipment and a BS6-compliant 152hp, 2.0-litre petrol engine. However, the Elantra facelift does not come with a BS6 diesel engine, for now. While its striking design and excellent refinement do draw buyers, the Hyundai Elantra facelift’s low seating and lack of a diesel option mark it down, compared to its competition. Buyers could avail up to Rs 1.1 lakh off on the new Elantra, including a cash discount, exchange bonus and corporate discounts.

    Hyundai Grand i10

    Save up to Rs 50,000
With the launch of its successor, the Grand i10 is now a petrol-only model. Its power comes from a BS6-compliant 83hp, 1.2-litre petrol engine and there’s a sole 5-speed manual gearbox on offer. The hatchback now feels past its prime and also has a bit of an image problem as it’s associated more with the fleet market. Nonetheless, reasons to buy the Hyundai Grand i10 include ease of use and cabin quality, along with the Rs 50,000 worth of benefits and discounts that are available this month.

    Hyundai Santro

    Save up to Rs 45,000
The smallest Hyundai car on sale in India right now, the Santro rivals the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Celerio and the Wagon R, along with the Tata Tiago and the Datsun Go. Overall refinement is excellent by class standards, and the cabin is quite roomy and well-finished. However, despite cost-cutting being a bit too evident, top-spec versions are on the pricey side. Still, the Rs 45,000 worth of benefits available this month on the higher-spec variants should make the Hyundai Santro a more attractive buy – the base Era is available with benefits of up to Rs 35,000.

    Hyundai i20

    Save up to Rs 40,000
Now available with benefits and discounts of up to Rs 40,000, the current Hyundai i20 will continue to be sold after April 2020 in petrol-only form. While the BS6-compliant 83hp, 1.2-litre unit will be shared with the Grand i10, Nios and Aura, the current model’s 90hp, 1.4-litre diesel engine will be discontinued by next month. When the next-gen Hyundai i20 arrives in June, it’ll come with the 100hp 1.5-litre unit that’ll make its debut on the BS6 Venue diesel. This is one of the reasons why potential buyers can avail benefits up to Rs 40,000 this month on Hyundai’s Maruti Baleno and Tata Altroz fighter.

    Hyundai Grand i10 Nios

    Save up to Rs 30,000
For now, the Grand i10 Nios is only available in BS6 petrol form, as the 75hp, 1.2-litre diesel unit has yet to be upgraded to the new norms, but it will be available soon. Essentially the next generation of the Grand i10, the Nios improves on its predecessor in every area, particularly in aspects like its cabin – which is quite roomy – and its value for money quotient. Petrol version of the Maruti Suzuki Swift and Ford Figo rival are available with benefits and discounts worth Rs 30,000.
