Tata Motors took the wraps off its much-awaited Altroz hatchback yesterday. The model was first showcased at the Geneva motor show earlier this year, and Tata will reveal the Altroz price at the upcoming Auto Expo 2020.
The Altroz premium hatchback will be launched in multiple variants. In addition to this, a number of customisation packs will be on offer to make the Altroz more accessible for those looking for certain features available in higher variants but don’t wish to pay for the top-spec car.

Under the hood, the Altroz will get the choice of two BS6-compliant engine options – a 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel. Both engines will be available with a 5-speed manual gearbox option initially but Tata has confirmed to us that a dual-clutch automatic gearbox will be introduced in the future.
