    2018 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz price, variants explained

    Maruti Suzuki has finally launched the refreshed Ciaz in the Indian market, with prices starting at Rs 8.19 lakh for the base Sigma petrol variant and going up to Rs 10.97 lakh for the top-spec Alpha diesel trim. The Ciaz now comes with an all-new 104hp, 1.5-litre petrol engine that’s mated to either a four-speed automatic or a five-speed manual gearbox. It also gets the tried and tested 1.3-litre diesel engine mated to a manual gearbox. The Ciaz facelift is available in four variants.

    Standard safety features on the new Ciaz include dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and Isofix anchors. Like the pre-facelift model, the refreshed Ciaz clears upcoming crash test norms for pedestrian protection, full frontal impact and side impact.  Key rivals to the Ciaz include the Honda City, Hyundai Verna and the Toyota Yaris.
