Maruti Suzuki Arena dealers are offering heavy discounts on their range of hatchbacks, sedans, MPVs and SUVs for the month of June 2019. These efforts are geared towards clearing stock and boosting sales at a time when the whole automotive industry is bogged down due to subdued demand. So, read on to find out how much you can save at your nearest Arena dealership.
Maruti Suzuki Ertiga
Save up to Rs 70,000 (Previous generation)
The Ertiga has been a consistent performer for Maruti, even more so since the second generation of the MPV was launched in November last year. A few dealers still have pending stocks of the previous-gen car, and if you are willing to overlook the frills of the latest Ertiga, you could very well save a cool few bucks on the old one. Dealers are offering benefits of Rs 15,000 on the CNG version, Rs 35,000 on the 1.4-litre petrol variants and a massive Rs 70,000 on the 1.3-litre diesel SHVS trims, depending on inventory.
Maruti Suzuki Wagon R
Save up to Rs 60,000 (Previous generation) / Rs 22,500 (New generation)
Maruti’s tallboy got a major revamp at the start of 2019 that brought with it better styling, improved equipment levels and a new engine. The old Wagon R, with a 1.0-litre petrol engine and the choice of an AMT auto gearbox or a CNG kit, is still up for sale at certain dealerships and can be had with savings of Rs 50,000-60,000. However, if you fancy the latest-gen hatchback, you could still avail of benefits of Rs 22,500. A point to note is that the new Wagon R does offer the novelty of a more powerful 1.2-litre petrol motor.
Maruti Suzuki Celerio
Save up to Rs 52,500
Suzuki’s other budget hatchback, the Celerio, feels a bit long in the tooth now, especially since the competition has moved on. Still, it makes for a sensible and safe buy. It comes with a 1.0-litre petrol engine, with the choice of a manual or an AMT auto transmission. Also on offer is a CNG-manual variant. Depending on the trim, discounts ranging from Rs 47,500-52,500 can be had on the Celerio.
Maruti Suzuki Alto K10
Save up to Rs 52,500
The more powerful of the two Altos, the K10 gets the same powertrain as the Celerio. Available in petrol-manual, petrol-AMT and CNG-manual guises, it makes for a peppy little city runabout. Should you choose to opt for the Alto K10, you could have Rs 42,500-52,500 knocked off the list price.
Maruti Suzuki Alto
Save up to Rs 50,000
The Alto got a comprehensive update in April 2019 that not only introduced a driver airbag and ABS as standard, but also made the car compliant with the upcoming crash test norms. Though the 0.8-litre petrol-manual powertrain continues as is, it now conforms to BS6 emission norms. Dealers are offering both the previous- and current-gen Altos with significant discounts of Rs 50,000. We would highly recommend going for the updated Alto with more safety features, unless you require one with a CNG kit, which is available only on the older model.
Maruti Suzuki Celerio X
Save up to Rs 47,500
The Celerio X is essentially a boldly styled version of the standard hatch. Powered by a 1.0-litre petrol motor, and available with the choice of a manual or an AMT gearbox, it remains unchanged in all other aspects. Benefits of Rs 47,500 are being extended on the crossover-inspired Celerio X.
Maruti Suzuki Dzire
Save up to Rs 47,500
One of the highest-selling cars each month, the remains the go-to compact sedan for the average Indian buyer. Class-leading cabin space, features and well-proportioned design remain its biggest strengths. It gets either a 1.2-litre petrol or a 1.3-litre diesel engine under the hood, with the convenience of a manual and an AMT auto transmission available on both. Irrespective of the powertrain you choose, you could have the price reduced by a substantial Rs 47,500.
Maruti Suzuki Swift
Save up to Rs 42,500
Launched in 2018, the third-generation Swift remains as popular as ever. The sporty looking hatch shares its engine-gearbox options with its sedan sibling. While the petrol variants can attract discounts of up to Rs 37,500, the diesel versions get a relief of another Rs 5,000.
Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza
Save up to Rs 40,000
The Brezza has topped the utility vehicle sales chart in the country for quite some time now, and this considering the fact that it only gets a 1.3-litre diesel engine with either the manual or the ubiquitous AMT gearbox. A 1.5-litre petrol engine is also on the horizon, though. Choosing the Vitara Brezza as your compact SUV can save you up to Rs 40,000 in the month of June.
Maruti Suzuki Omni
Save up to Rs 27,500
The Omni might be on its last legs, but there are few other vehicles that can match it on the space it offers for the price its commands. Available as a five-seater or an eight-seater, it gets a standard 800cc petrol engine with a manual transmission. Dealers are offering up to Rs 27,500 off on the Maruti Omni.
Maruti Suzuki Eeco
Save up to Rs 17,500
Convenient, inexpensive and utilitarian – these are the words that first come to mind when speaking of the Eeco. After an update this year, the MUV now comes with a standard driver airbag and ABS. Be it the five-seater or the seven-seater variant, the Eeco can be had with discounts of up to Rs 17,500. Do remember, only the five-seater gets the choice of additional kit like an air conditioner and a CNG kit.
