Maruti Swift discounts increase to up to Rs 70,000 on MY2024 stock

Other than the previous-gen Swift, every Maruti Arena hatchback gets over Rs 50,000 in discounts this month.

As it happens every January, dealerships across India will be looking to move older MY2024 stock, and, in the case of Maruti’s Arena network, the discounts and benefits are even higher than those offered in December 2024. There are significant offers – including cash discounts and an exchange or scrappage bonus – on select MY2025 inventory as well. So, without further ado, here’s how much you could save on your new Maruti Arena model.

Maruti Swift discounts in January 2025

Save up to Rs 70,000 on MY2024 stock, up to Rs 45,000 on MY2025 stock

Compared to last month, the maximum discount on the Swift has increased by about Rs 10,000, with up to Rs 70,000 off on MY2024 LXi, ZXi AMT and ZXi+ AMT variants. Other trims made in the previous year get up to Rs 65,000 in benefits. Even MY2025 Swift models get discounts of up to Rs 45,000 on the AMT variants, while the manual ones, including those with the factory-fit CNG kit, get up to Rs 40,000 off.

The fourth-gen Swift was launched in India in May last year. We found that the new hatchback has sporty handling and light controls, and its new 82hp, 1.2-litre Z Series delivers impressive fuel efficiency. However, the engine lacks punch and the car’s price range of Rs 6.49 lakh to 9.45 lakh overlaps with the Baleno’s. In September, Maruti introduced the Swift CNG, which costs Rs 8.20 lakh-9.20 lakh.

Select dealerships still have an inventory of the previous-gen Swift, and those units have benefits to the tune of Rs 25,000-35,000, depending on the variant and gearbox option selected.

Maruti Alto K10 discounts in January 2025

Save up to Rs 65,000 on MY2024 stock, up to Rs 50,000 on MY2025 stock

The Alto K10, which shares the petrol engine with the Celerio, is available with discounts of up to Rs 65,000 on the AMT variants and up to Rs 60,000 on the petrol-manual and CNG versions on the MY2024 inventory. The MY2025 Alto K10 range has the same discounts as the Celerio range. These hatchbacks’ 1.0-litre engine makes 67hp in petrol versions and 57hp in CNG versions. The Alto K10’s price range is Rs 3.99 lakh-5.96 lakh.

Maruti S-Presso discounts in January 2025

Save up to Rs 65,000 on MY2024 stock, up to Rs 50,000 on MY2025

Maruti’s smaller tallboy hatchback, the S-Presso, has the same level of discounts and benefits as the Alto K10, marking a Rs 18,000 increase over the last month’s total offers. The S-Presso also shares its three-cylinder engine with the Alto K10 and is priced between Rs 4.27 lakh and Rs 6.12 lakh.

Maruti Celerio discounts in January 2025

Save up to Rs 63,000 on MY2024 stock, up to Rs 50,000 on MY2025 stock

The discounts on the Celerio are about Rs 18,000 higher than last month, with the AMT versions getting up to Rs 63,000 off. The petrol-manual and CNG versions come with benefits of up to Rs 58,000. The MY2025 Celerios with the AMT option are being sold with benefits of up to Rs 50,000, while others are at up to Rs 45,000 off. The Celerio shares its 67hp, 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine with the Wagon R and a couple of other Maruti hatchbacks. It is currently priced between Rs 5.37 lakh and 7.05 lakh.

Maruti Wagon R discounts in January 2025

Save up to Rs 60,000 on MY2024 stock, up to Rs 45,000 on MY2025 stock

Discounts on Maruti’s popular tallboy hatchback have increased up to Rs 20,000, and the top-spec VXi AMT variant is now sold at up to Rs 60,000 off, regardless of the engine option. CNG variants come with benefits to the tune of 52,000, while the petrol-manual variants have discounts of up to Rs 55,000. Like the MY2024 models, the MY2025 models with the AMT gearbox get discounts to the tune of Rs 45,000, while the other trims get up to 40,000 off. The Wagon R is priced in the Rs 5.55 lakh-7.21 lakh range and comes with either of these three engines: 67hp, 1.0-litre petrol; 57hp, 1.0-litre CNG; and 90hp, 1.2-litre petrol.

Maruti Dzire discounts in January 2025

Save up to Rs 40,000 on previous-gen model

While there is only a scrappage bonus of up to Rs 25,000 available on the fourth-gen Dzire, the previous-gen model comes with total benefits of up to Rs 40,000 on the AMT variants, up to Rs 35,000 on the petrol-manual trims and just the Rs 25,000 scrappage bonus on the CNG ones. The previous model is powered by the 90hp, 1.2-litre four-cylinder K Series engine, which was replaced by the 82hp, 1.2-litre three-cylinder Z Series unit in the fourth gen. The new Dzire was launched in November last year and is priced between Rs 6.79 lakh and 10.14 lakh. The previous model’s last recorded price was Rs 6.57 lakh-9.34 lakh in October.
