Trending Questions on Maruti Suzuki Ertiga - Answered by Autocar Experts
I own a 2020 Renault Triber, which is currently in good condition and has been driven for 48,000 kilometres. I would like your advice on the optimal time to sell this vehicle. Additionally, when considering a replacement, should I continue with the Renault Triber as a 7-seater option, or would you recommend a different model? I am asking because I have the perception that it may be prudent to use a car for no more than five years before exchanging it for a new one. Please guide
I am looking to buy a new 7-seater within a budget of Rs 15 to 16 lakh. My monthly driving is around 2,500km across both city and highway conditions. Which car would be the best choice for me? If a 7-seater is not possible in this budget, which 5-seater would be the best in terms of mileage, boot space, and low maintenance?
Hi, I’m looking for a 7-seater petrol car within a budget of ₹15 lakh. Are there any options available?
Currently, there are two models that fit your requirements - the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and the Kia Carens Clavis. Both have spacious cabins that are reasonably comfortable for seven passengers, and both come with naturally aspirated 1.5-litre petrol engines.
The Ertiga, however, will be more fuel efficient and, being a Maruti car, it'll also come with a stress-free ownership experience. The Kia car, on the other hand, offers many more features, and it can even be had with either a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol or 1.5-litre diesel engine options.
I am a first-time buyer and prefer a seven-seater. My monthly running is hardly 200 km, but once every three months, I will do a 1,000 km drive with full capacity.
I want to buy a new car. I have shortlisted three cars: Maruti Ertiga, Mahindra XUV 3XO, and Tata Sierra. I want a petrol model with a manual gearbox, good mileage, good safety features, and the ability to handle both local and occasional long drives. Please advise.
I currently own a 2022 Baleno Zeta AGS and am very happy with its mileage, low maintenance, and ease of driving. I want to exchange it for a compact 7-seater that’s easy to maneuver on Bangalore streets and also comfortable for long road trips. I recently drove the Renault Triber and liked its steering and ride quality. My budget is up to ₹10 lakh- should I buy a new compact 7-seater or consider a good second-hand option?
Given your requirements and budget, you have two options. The Renault Triber is well-priced, genuinely practical, versatile and can accommodate up to seven passengers. But its 72hp, 1.0-litre petrol engine feels lethargic, especially when the car's fully loaded.
Alternatively, you could consider the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. The Ertiga is more spacious, has a more powerful and refined engine and being a Maruti car, you'll also like the peace of mind it comes with. There are currently two Maruti Ertiga variants (LXi and VXi) that are priced below Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom).
I’m looking for a reliable 7-seater automatic car within a ₹17-22 lakh on-road budget. My annual running is about 5,000 km in the city. I need a smooth, safe, easy-to-handle petrol car with proven reliability and economical driving. Which automatic models would you recommend?
We are a family of five with one senior citizen. Occasionally, we go on long trips, but otherwise our daily usage is limited to a maximum of 10 km. We currently own a second-hand Celerio, but its suspension and long-distance comfort are not suitable for our 60+ family members. Please suggest whether we should go for a 5-seater or a 7-seater so that senior citizens can rest better during long trips. I am confused between buying a new Hyundai Venue or Tata Sierra, or going with the Ertiga. I also considered Kia, but my maximum budget is ₹12 lakh on-road. Please suggest a new car.
We are a family of six, including parents. We are looking for an affordable 7-seater under Rs 14 to 15 lakh. We don’t have daily usage but make regular trips to our hometown, around 400 to 600 km per month.
The Kia Carens Clavis is more expensive than the Ertiga, but it is a superior product. It feels more upmarket and is more comfortable. Options to consider within your budget include the 1.5 petrol manual HTK and the 1.5 turbo-petrol in HTE(O). You get a few fewer features on the HTE(O), but the turbo-petrol's added power is something you'd appreciate on highway drives.
We are a family of six, and I am looking to buy a 7-seater manual SUV under 16 lakh. I prefer a body-on-frame design. My shortlisted options are the Scorpio Classic, Bolero Neo, and Bolero. Among these, please suggest the better choice for balanced city and highway use.
It must be highlighted that all three options you are considering have side-facing third row seats. These are not as safe as front-facing seats, and we'd strongly advise against this configuration.
