Maruti Suzuki has refreshed its Baleno premium hatchback and priced it at Rs 5.45 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The updated model is available in four variants, gets two engines and two gearboxes, and will continue to retail from Maruti Suzuki’s premium Nexa showrooms.
The Baleno facelift retains the engines and gearboxes from its predecessor. There’s the 83hp, 1.2-litre petrol engine and a 75hp, 1.3-litre diesel motor, both of which are coupled with a 5-speed manual gearbox. In addition, there’s a CVT automatic available with the petrol engine only.
Maruti has redesigned the Baleno’s front end, making it more aggressive thanks to a new front bumper, a 3D design for the grille and new fog lamp housings. The 16-inch alloy wheels now get a new dual-tone design as well. Inside, there’s a new 7.0-inch SmartPlay infotainment system that debuted in the new Wagon R, and a dual-tone black-and-blue interior color scheme. Standard safety kit includes dual airbags with ABS, rear parking sensors, speed alert warning and a seatbelt reminder system.
Prices for the Baleno facelift range from Rs 5.45 lakh to Rs 8.77 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This marks a price hike over the older model, ranging from Rs 7,000 to Rs 21,000 for the petrol and diesel manual variants, and between Rs 30,000 to Rs 44,000 for the CVT variants. Given below is a list of what you get with each variant along with their respective prices.
