Comfort or fun to drive?

I am looking to buy a luxury SUV for my brother and he has shortlisted the BMW X3 and Mercedes-Benz GLC – 2019 X3 diesel and 2019 GLC 300 petrol. The car would be self-driven, so fun factor with comfortable seats and suspension are top priorities, along with luxury, reliability and safety. If any other options are available please let me know.

We would go for the GLC 300 petrol as the engine is more energetic than the X3’s 2.0-litre diesel, and also, in the long run, a petrol car is easier to maintain than a diesel. The X3’s suspension is marginally softer and more comfortable, but the Merc has a good suspension too.
