BMW India has unveiled the Vision EfficientDynamics concept hybrid car in India.

The car delivers a mileage of 26.5 kpl with diesel and can touch a top speed of 250kph. It is powered by a 3-cylinder diesel engine and two electric motors.

Also, the BMW Vision Efficient Dynamics is conceived as a plug-in hybrid. The particularly designed lithium-polymer rechargeable battery housed centrally in a longitudinal chassis element can be fully charged at a conventional power socket within two and half hours. The car was unveiled by the Minister for Heavy Industries, Prafful Patel.

Dr. Andreas Schaaf, President, BMW India said, “BMW Vision EfficientDynamics as an example of cutting-edge technology is basically a continuation of BMW Efficient Dynamics development strategy.” The car is expected to hit Indian roads not before 2013.
