The upcoming Mahindra BE.05 electric SUV has been spied on test again, this time revealing its interior design. It will go on sale after the XUV.e8 and XUV.e9 SUVs, and will likely be the first product from Mahindra’s new BE range to hit the market.

Mahindra BE.05 spy shots: interior, exterior design

The latest spy shots reveal that the BE.05 will likely retain the interior design layout similar to the concept showcased in 2022. The test mule gets a flat top-and-bottom two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated ‘BE’ logo and a large digital screen that integrates the infotainment display and instrument cluster into a single unit, similar to the XUV700.

Exterior spy shots reveal large C-shaped headlamps, partially covered with camouflage, and C-shaped LED tail lamps. The main headlamp is a separate unit with a halogen light on this particular test mule. It also gets aero-optimised wheels for better efficiency and flush-type door handles.

Mahindra BE.05: battery, range, launch details

While the exact technical specifications for the BE.05 have not been revealed, the battery sizes for its INGLO platform-based EVs will range from 60-80kWh and support fast charging up to 175kW, which would charge the battery to 80 percent in less than 30 minutes, depending on the model. Mahindra says the 80kWh battery should return a driving range of about 435km to 450km under the WLTP cycle. The BE.05 could offer rear-wheel drive as standard. A dual-motor all-wheel drive configuration might also be offered.

Set to be launched by October 2025, the Mahindra BE.05 will sit above the XUV400, and will directly rival the recently launched Tata Curvv EV and the upcoming MG Windsor EV.
