Updated Ertiga to be unveiled on August 20, 2015

We had reported earlier that Maruti was working on a mid-cycle refresh of its popular Ertiga MPV which is sold in India as well as Indonesia. The updated Ertiga will be unveiled on August 20, 2015 at the Indonesian International Motor Show. The refreshed Ertiga is expected to come to Indian shores shortly after.

Like the facelifted Swift, the Ertiga could also see similar changes made to its interiors, in addition to the minor external styling tweaks. On the exterior, the new grille with chrome slats takes centre stage, along with an updated front bumper with chrome inserts. The alloy wheel design for top-spec trims and the wheel cap design for the mid- and lower-level trims will be all new. The interiors will be spruced up, and will now get new upholstery, automatic climate control for the Z-trims and a push-button start system. The infotainment system is also expected to see an upgrade along with power-folding wing mirrors.

The updated Maruti Ertiga is expected to continue with the choice of powerplants available in the current version.
However, updates for better fuel economy will be introduced. With this mid-cycle facelift, the Ertiga will be able to compete better with the likes of the Honda Mobilio and the recently launched Renault Lodgy MPV.
