Volkswagen India is offering massive discounts and benefits on all three of its models – the Taigun midsize SUV, the Virtus midsize sedan, and the Tiguan SUV. The benefits include cash discounts, along with exchange and loyalty bonuses. Discounts on the Taigun exceed those available last month by a significant amount, while benefits on the Virtus and Tiguan have reduced slightly.

Volkswagen Taigun discounts in August 2024
Some dealers still have MY2023 stock of the German brand’s rival to the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Toyota Hyryder, Maruti Grand Vitara and the upcoming Tata Curvv and Citroen Basalt. These models are only available with the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine and manual gearbox, and get total discounts up to Rs 2.28 lakh.
Coming to the MY2024 models and depending on the variant, VW is offering discounts up to Rs 1.2 lakh on the 1.0-litre TSI versions, and up to Rs 1.87 lakh in benefits on the 1.5 TSI models. In fact with the cash discount, the entry-level Taigun’s ex-showroom price has come down to Rs 10.90 lakh, from Rs 11.70 lakh.
Volkswagen Virtus discounts in August 2024
Volkswagen’s answer to the Honda City, Hyundai Verna and Skoda Slavia gets up to Rs 1.25 lakh off in total discounts and benefits this month. It’s the mid-spec 1.0 TSI Highline AT variant that gets this maximum discount. Meanwhile, the 1.5 TSI-equipped Virtus gets up to Rs 70,000 in total benefits.
The Virtus and Taigun share the 115hp, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol and 150hp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engines, along with their respective manual and automatic gearbox options. Like the Taigun, the cash discounts on the Virtus see its entry ex-showroom price drop from Rs 11.56 lakh to 10.90 lakh.
Volkswagen Tiguan discounts in August 2024
Volkswagen’s rival to the Hyundai Tucson and Jeep Compass gets up to Rs 1.5 lakh, albeot only for models made in 2023. MY2024 Tiguans get total benefits up to Rs 1.25 lakh during this month. The VW Tiguan comes with a sole 190hp, 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch auto, which drives all-four wheels via VW’s 4Motion AWD tech. The five-seat SUV is currently priced at Rs 35.17 lakh.
