Hyundai is one of the top three carmakers in India. The Korean brand entered the Indian market in 1998 with the Santro, and the line-up has since expanded to 14 models. Hyundai India has two manufacturing plants, both located near Chennai, with a third plant in Talegaon opening in the near future. Most Hyundai cars and SUVs are made-in-India. Hyundai electric cars in India include the Creta Electric and the Ioniq 5.
