Maruti Suzuki has announced that it now operates 500 Nexa showrooms across the country, a milestone achieved in nine years. To mark the occasion, the company has launched Nexa studio outlets — more compact versions of the existing Nexa showrooms —aimed at tier two and tier three cities.
The addition of Nexa Studio outlets will help the brand get more visibility in small towns. Currently, Maruti’s Nexa outlets in bigger cities also cater to smaller towns. The brand has said that around 32 percent of total Nexa sales come from tier two and tier three cities.
As part of its rollout plan, Maruti wants to introduce approximately 100 Nexa Studio outlets in smaller towns by the end of this financial year. Phase 1 of the Nexa Studio rollout will include around 30 cities. These outlets will have sales, service, and spare facilities, with a two-car display and a dedicated delivery area. The brand further confirms that the look, feel, and customer experience at the new Nexa Studio outlets will match that of the larger Nexa showrooms. Additionally, these outlets will be independent setups and not just an extension of any existing Arena outlet in the city.
Maruti’s Nexa outlets currently sell models such as the Baleno, Ignis, XL6 MPV, Fronx, Grand Vitara, and the Invicto. The brand's upcoming born-EV SUV, which will debut globally in January, is also expected to be sold via Nexa showrooms nationwide.
